The Changing of the Guards


Between April and July you can see the guards with their marching band as they make their way from the Barracks to the Castle each day (Monday to Saturday)

Between August and March this event takes place on alternate days of the week.



Windsor Markets


Windsor holds a Farmer's Market on the first Saturday of the month with a wide range of local producers setting up their stalls on St Leonard's Road. The market is open from 9am - 1pm.







Royal Windsor Racecourse 2008

Open on most Modays until October, there are various events going on in the evening. January

Windsor Castle: Exhibition on Royal Weddings 1840-1947

This event runs from 1st January - 11th May 2008, telling the stories of five royal weddings through photographs, documents and memorabilia. For more information please contact Windsor Castle Exhibitions.

8th to 11th May - Royal Windsor Horse Show 2008

The annual event takes place at Windsor Castle.

Henley Royal Regatta

2nd to 6th of July - A competitive rowing event, first held in 1839.

Cruise with Caldesi on the Thames

4th and 20th of July - Giancarlo Caldesi brings a "taste of Tuscany" to you, on a delightful cruise alond the Thames.

Windsor Golden Egg Festival

12th to 13th July. An outdoor event including a market, a children's carnirval, live music and entertainment.

Robin Gibb of The Bee Gees in Concert

13th July. Part of the Windsor Golden Egg Festival, this is his first solo performance for 10 years.

August

Cruise with Caldesi on the Thames

8th of August - Giancarlo Caldesi brings a "taste of Tuscany" to you, on a delightful cruise alond the Thames.

London to Windsor Bike Ride

31st August. Follow either a 37 or 29 mile course from London to Windsor, along the river.

Ascot Racecourse Beer Festival

26th to 27th of September. Featuring over 130 different ales, ciders and perries, and an excellent program of racing.

November

Windsor Contemporary Art Fair

7th to 9th. It's fourth year running, there's a lot more than just buying art. There are workshops, wine tasting, and a café for your enjoyment.

Windsor Tours Windsorian Christmas Tales

15th to 16th, 21st to 23rd, 28th to 30th. A 1 hour guided walk through the town.

December

Royal Windsor Ice Rink

The Ice rink is open from 1st December 2008 - 4th January 2009. Alexandra Gardens will be transformed in to an Ice rink for fun for all the family. Open from 10am - 10pm every day apart from Christmas Day. Advanced booking is advised.

Carols on the Hill

Join us for Carols on the 12th December in Windsor, from 6pm.
